I told Bennett about this idea a few days ago and he said “you’re punchy!” which was true. I revisited the idea today while exchanging emails with someone who had written that it was hard for her not to seem “blase” about something. A few minutes earlier I had been working on my resume. Dear Ms. Knowles: we need a handy way to remember the keyboard shortcuts for accent aigu for both Mac and PC! How else will we write our exposes? (Or your name?)
My proposal, Beyoncé, is that you include a song on your soon to be released album that addresses this issue. It can be really short, like twenty seconds long. Here is the information it must contain:
*on a Mac, type option-e and then e.
*on a PC, type control-apostrophe then e.
I am not actually Weird Al so I don’t have many ideas about how to turn this information into a catchy rhyming mnemonic hit. I got as far as “If you don’t want to be the victim of taunts/don’t type my name like it’s pronounced Beyonce.”
